Annual update for HR managers
On October 29, the annual salary workshop took place at Messe Luzern with 50 participants and on November 5, 2024 at Businesspark Sursee with 60 participants under the direction of Maria Kurmann, Head of Payroll and Personnel Administration at the Willisau branch. The following topics were discussed and explored in greater depth using practical examples:
- The incapacity for work related to the workplace compared to an incapacity for work caused by the workplace- Employer's duty to provide information when employees leave
- Data protection: What HR professionals need to consider
- Death of an employee - what must the employer do?
- Working from anywhere (outside the workplace, e.g. abroad)
- Paid work for several employers
- Various practical cases:
- Coordination of benefits in the event of illness and accident
- Reduction and denial of benefits (gross negligence, risks and hazards)
- Reduction of salary and retention periods
- Update on social insurance
